For some young people in care, engagement in school is disrupted due to a variety of complex factors resulting in school refusal or needs that are too complex for the school community to cater for.

The Carbrook Program works with partner schools to create flexible arrangements for young people in care at times when their usual school learning program is not able to meet their needs.

Our experienced staff incorporate a trauma-informed, animal- assisted learning approach for students impacted by severe life trauma. The program systematically teaches the foundational skills required for re-engaging in learning in a safe and supportive environment.
